Karachi, May 5, 2011: “Ayyan Ayyan Yo Yo”, the book by a prominent author and journalist of the country Mahmood Shaam, is a book of its own kind in history of Urdu literature which broadens the horizon of knowledge of children through easy poetry, CEO, The Citizen’s Foundation, Syed Asaad Ayub expressed his views at the ceremony of the book distribution ceremony for students here today.
He said that the book will create awareness about Pakistan’s history and Urdu language alike among more than 100,000 children of the school. The Citizen’s Foundation is educating children through 703 schools and the book will be placed in the schools’ libraries so the students will get benefited from it, he added.
Mahmood Shaam, the author of the book, expressed his feelings that it was his desire to write the book for children which would reflect from the practices and deeds of the children during their whole lives. He termed the book as the fulfillment of his dream and he was glad on writing the book meeting international standards of poems for children.
Mahmood Shaam thanked the Vice President, Pakistan Arts Council, Professor Ejaz Ahmad Farooqi, who purchased 200 books and distributed among children.
He said that it is the sign of Ejaz Ahmad’s love for education and Urdu language and he hoped that other philanthropists would also follow his footsteps |
